About Forest Mitchell

Introducing Bodylinx’s Magnetic Blogger

Forest Mitchell is the youngest of three children of married relief workers moving between England and Africa. He earned a degree in sociology from the University of East Anglia, where he specialized in the diffusion of Western medicine into primitive cultures.

Having been trained in basic medical techniques from a young age, Forest returned to Africa after university and spent time with a host of relief agencies. Serving as a dishwasher, nurse or doctor (depending on what was most urgently required), he continued collecting data to use for a post-graduate thesis.

Somewhere along the way, Forest switched from data collecting to country roaming. His interest in ancient remedies led him from Africa to India and then China over the course of several years.

In addition to studying Ayurvedic practices in India and medicinal herbal remedies in China, Forest learned about the beneficial use of magnets to reduce pain and swelling. He was struck by the fact that of the many Western, Eastern and ancient practices he had observed, magnets were clearly superior as a noninvasive choice for pain relief.

Bewildered by the fact that magnetic therapy didn’t appear to be a widely-accepted option for pain relief in the Western world, Forest contacted several magnetic jewelry companies. He wanted to offer his expertise and experience in a way that wouldn’t require him to work in an office. Here at BodyLinx™, we were intrigued by Forest’s story and impressed by his passion for alternative healing methods. We are proud to have Forest as our roving director of innovation.
